Don't Leave Me Here

I can't even count the number of cats I personally have seen enter the animal shelter I used to volunteer at. I'd have to say that they definitely outnumber the dogs 3 to 1.

Hundreds of these cats will be put to sleep each year, and the dogs share the same fate if they aren't lucky. Many of these pets had no health problems, and were loving animals who just needed a human companion.

They'll spend months in small cages all alone, bored, waiting for their savior to come, or their time to be up.

What have they done to deserve this? They lived.

It's not the animal's fault that they're here, it's ours. But we can help.

Please, ALWAYS consider adoption FIRST when choosing an animal to be your pet.

Please, always spay and neuter your pets.

Please, always do your homework and know what you're into before you get your pet, and know if you can handle that commitment.

Please, donate to your local animal shelters first, they need it the most.

Please, when you choose your new companion, choose them for life.
