This is a dream catcher I made as a thank you/Christmas present to She's helped me out and been very kind, so I thought I'd try to make her something in return. I sent it out a few days ago....don't know if she got it or not yet....hope she did!
But anyways, it's a small metal ring wrapped in green leather. On it there's two catseye beads, and a snake vertebrae (roadkill snake...no I didn't kill it, and don't know what kind it is). Then in the very middle is a pendant I got a while ago. It's a raccoon holding a grey fake (but a good fake!) catseye bead with its tail (it's legs are there, but it's using its tail). On the outside there's 3 tips of squirrel tails (all found dead and cleaned)-with the tops wrapped in a small bit of leather. Then there's a turkey feather in the middle, and connected by two more snake vertebrae are two male mallard duck wing feathers (these kind: [link] )
It's supposed to be a "natural" dream catcher (I would have made the circle with a willow branch or something, but those become too brittle-especially for mailing!). I kinda failed at the "earthy" feel....heck, it doesn't even loo that good -_- I wanted to make it bigger, too....but I hope she likes it!
Thanks! It's quite easy to learn, actually, I just google searched "how to make a dream catcher" and learned from a website. If you ever wanted to make one, you could always do that
